Baron’s commissions focus primarily on creating art for public spaces ranging from airports, train stations, stadiums, libraries and community centers. He states, "I examine everyday objects and how they reflect people, culture and regional history. My quest is a metaphoric archaeolgical dig. I cull items from a wide spectrum of sources and assemble artifacts in the studio. What emerge are sculptures comprised of an amalgamation of objects that suggest a genealogy or time capsule that echo the ethos of a place."
