Shattered Vase Theory, explores how people can grow and transform after experiencing deep trauma or loss. In this series, I use the metaphor of a shattered vase: rather than trying to piece things back together exactly as they were, I assemble fragments of broken, everyday objects to create new, hybrid forms that resemble classical vases. This process reflects a psychological concept called "post-traumatic growth," which suggests that people can become stronger and more resilient after hardship. Each sculpture combines personal and cultural artifacts, honoring the beauty of the past while embracing the strength and complexity that come from rebuilding something new.
