RE-COLLECTION
"I am drawn to creating sculpture that are stratified like a geological vertical section of earth composed of layer upon layer of collected objects. My latest series Re-Collections are based on ideas that I’ve been working with for many years; my love of monolithic vessel shapes created with stacks of everyday items that speak of their collective history and the individuals that owned and used them. The Eclipse sculptures have a skin that create a volumetric form that appears to be in a state of decomposition, concealing and revealing the interior artifacts as if they are being excavated."
